Summertime!

We have been a full-time family of 6 for two weeks now. It's going pretty well. We've all had some adjustments to make, but are hopeful that this situation will be permanent, so we're trying our best to make it work. The kids have been pretty good about helping with their laundry, setting the table, keeping their rooms clean, etc. There have been a few new talks about following directions, accepting "NO" answers, and being obedient, but those are always good reminders.

Rob was Super Dad last weekend. I came down with a cold evolving through sneezing, congesting, not sleeping, migraine headache-ing, coughing, miserable laying in bed all day, making my back and body sore, etc... So Rob took care of all four kids all day Sat. and Sun. They mended the tires on Kaleb and Lisey's bikes, and went on a bike ride together. He also did laundry and kept the house fairly decent. I was so grateful for his help, and the chance to just lay in bed and read books, even though pregnancy makes that less than comfy. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be on full-time bedrest. (Thanks, Emily, for letting me borrow your pregnancy body pillow- that helps a LOT!)

We're all grateful that the nice, warm weather is finally here! The kids have had a great time playing outside as much as possible: riding bikes, coloring with sidewalk chalk, running around the yard using their imaginations, eating popsicles, and going to the park right next door.

The past couple of days have been rainy, but we haven't been home much anyway. We're hoping that tomorrow will be sunny and warm, but not hot... we have a special day planned with Gma and Gpa if it is. If not, I guess we'll improvise!
